This book is much more than just a collection of authentic Mexican recipes that Frida favored. The narrative, co-written by Frida's stepdaughter, also provides some engaging insight to who Frida Kahlo was and what moved her. It's not a biography but rather provides a pleasant portrayal of what it was like to be in Frida's orb, the time period, and the locations. I also appreciated the photos of Frida's paintings, residences where Frida lived with Diego, and the food. Oh, yes; the recipes... ahhh, can't wait to try them.

I have a copy of this book, have read it twice. I really love the work of Fria Kahlo, so this book was a diversified version of her life and personality. A really good cookbook of traditional Mexican specialties, with antecdotes thrown in aboutFrida. Written partly by Diego Rivera's daughter, she had first-hand experience with Frida since she lived with them for a time. I bought this book a second time as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law. I have seen her several times reading the book, so I would venture to say it has another fan in the family. Not a cheap purchase, but a great book, buy it if you like Frida.Thanks for quick arrival and perfect conditon.

I love this book so much, that I gave a copy to my cousin. The pictures are beautiful and the recipes are authentic. My mother passes away before I could get traditional recipes. This book helped me. I can now make dishes that look and taste like my Madre used to make. One of the things I love about this book is that it gives you ideas for a complete menu. Great book for planning a party.

Very wonderful book if you would like lots of personal information about Frida Khalo. It was written by her step-daughter with years of firsthand information to draw from; it is full of insight about this amazing character, woman of courage. The food and photos are a treasure trove also. I am so glad I have this book in my collection. I pull it out and revisit it from time to time and always find inspiration both for life and for cooking.

This is a beautiful book that contains recipes of authentic Mexican food with some stories around them. For a Mexican living in the USA like me, it's a fantastic opportunity to have these recipes from Frida who was a lover of Mexican traditions and regional food. The recipes are explained in such a great detail and clarity that anyone can create this dishes and palate the authentic flavors and aromas of México, nothing to do with the lousy food that you find in Chili's and another so called 'Mexican Restaurants' in the USA.Food is an integral part of the culture of a country and being able to taste what Fride loved and cooked herself is a way to get to know her better.Great book beautiful pictures, great quality and excellent presentation.

Not sure what I like more about this cookbook, the recipes or the photos. This is a beautifulbook! If you are a fan of Frida Kahlo, you must have this in your library; even if you are nota cook. The book gives you more insight into Frida's life as well as many traditional Mexicandishes!

I was very happy when I received this book the other day. The pictures and stories about this lady her husband, family and her friends are very interesting. The receipes; I can't wait to try some out, makes my mouth water just reading them and seeing the pictures of finished food.
